I recently joined Shadow Foreign Secretary William Hague at the launch of the Party’s ‘Year for Change’ campaign in West Yorkshire.
Over the next few weeks, we'll be publishing documents setting out our policies in key areas and explaining exactly how we'll bring about the change Britain needs. A General Election must be held by June and to mark the arrival of this important year, the Conservative Party has set out its key promises on health in a draft manifesto.
Posters have also gone up in West Yorkshire to pass on the message that David Cameron would cut the deficit but not the NHS.
This year offers the chance for real change in Calder Valley. I know from talking to people across the constituency that they want politicians who work together to solve our problems and aren’t interested in point-scoring and political dividing lines. I hope Gordon Brown calls the General Election at the earliest opportunity.
See the "Election Manifesto" tab at the top of this page for a summary of each manifesto as it is released and a link to the full documents. |
